When Mrs Walker's away....

....Room 16 acts out the Christmas play!  Everyone enjoyed doing some drama on Wednesday, as Mrs Kirkup read them the Christmas story and they got into 2 groups and acted out the story.  Well done and thanks to Mrs Kirkup.

Lincoln's plants

Lincoln collected his first handful of strawberries off his plants.  He wasn't sure about the taste, though!  Lincoln's tomato plant is as tall as Callum now.  We hope that Lincoln gets some tomatoes from it before we finish school.

Nicole and her guitar

We were lucky that Nicole brought her guitar to school on Friday and played us a few of her songs.  Well done, Nicole, we think you are a great guitar player.

Swimming

We are really enjoying getting in to the pool and practicing our swimming skills.  One more week of swimming to go.

Wedding Bells

Congratulations to Imogen's Grandad and his new wife on their wedding last week.  Imogen loved her dress so much that she decided to wear it to school to show us.  She looked lovely.

Dinosaur dioramas

Over the past 2 weeks we have been making these dinosaur dioramas.  We started with decorating a background and foreground.  Then we cut out trees, ferns and dinosaurs and stood them around the landscape.  Finally we glued on some dinosaur footprints.

Dino (Cloud) Dough

We made some 'Dino dough' by mixing 5 cups of flour with 1 cup of baby oil (you can use cooking oil too).  We can pretend we are paleontologists by uncovering our little dinosaurs from the sandy cloud dough.  It's a bit messy inside though!
