We played a game outside and we practised the names of shapes in Te Reo.

Winter Trees

This term we painted a sunrise background, then painted some deciduous winter trees.

 

  

Term 2 Disco

Lots of dancing and fun was had at our Term 2 disco on Friday night.

Upper Valley Gymnastics Competition

The Upper Valley Gymnastics Competition was held last Thursday.  Well done to Nicole and Callum for competing proudly for Trentham School.

Friday Concert

On Friday we went to a concert in the hall, performed by our middle and senior students.  they had been learning to sing and play instruments all week and we really enjoyed their performance.

It's not easy, being green.

Take a look at our bright green frog.  I wonder if the tropical fish food (that brings out the colour in tropical fish) has helped our frogs to find their green.

Teachers in the olden days

In the olden days teachers used to smack children on their b _ _ with a ruler.  The teachers used a blackboard to write on.  The children wore a uniform at school. Every day the children had to wash their hands.  The women had to wear a long dress.  Men wore a suit and a tie.  In winter the teacher had to get to school early and light the fire so the place got warmed up  - Zoe.

Netball

In the morning Room 16 went to netball.  First we did our back to back.  But we couldn't touch the ball because it's the rules.  We had relays.  We warmed up, like we had to run and the netball coach had to blow the whistle and call out a number like 3 and we had to get in a group of 3.  Then she called out another number, 4 or 5,6,7,8,9 - any of those numbers.  Then we had to put the ball around our head and our waist. Then we got to play a game - Bailey.

Art Day

Today we had an Art Day with our buddy class.  Rooms 6 and 16 created insects and flowers and our display is now up in the hall.  Thanks for a great day, Room 6!

Arbor Day

On Arbor Day Phoenix and Charlotte T were part of a group of children who went with Mrs Su'a to plant some trees.

Happy Room 16

Yes, we are a happy bunch in Room 16.  We have had a lot of fun over the past few weeks making this video and we want to thank Leanne for all her work in editing and producing the final cut.
