Measurement - Area

This week we are learning about area.  We went outside and looked very carefully at the space - or area - inside the 'Blue Lines'.  Then we estimated how many children would fit, lying down, into the Blue Lines. Then we measured how many children would fit onto the area.  We found out that 23 children could fit into the area.  Then we drew a couple more areas and measured them too.
