We had an energetic climb up the Wetlands track while we were at Battle Hill today. We walked up the hill where Te Rangihaeata tried to fight off the British troops who wanted the Ngati Toa land at Pauatahanui in 1867. What a great can-do attitude from Room 3 students as they climbed some pretty steep terrain and saw sheep and horses and some workmen working on the Transmission Gully road below us. We will all sleep well tonight.
